Thomas McDermott put up the most strikeouts he's had since back in March on Tuesday. He struck out four batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off two hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

Even though McDermott couldn't lead Bolingbrook over Oswego, he won't have to wait long to try again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Raiders will be headed into this one with a sizable disadvantage in the rankings (they're ranked 399 places lower in Illinois), but they're not letting that get them down.
