The Paint Branch Panthers will be playing at home against the Rockville Rams at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Paint Branch has three straight victories, Rockville has seven straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Paint Branch stacked a seventh blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. They blew past Blair 78-54. 78 seems to be a good number for Paint Branch as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.
Jordan Horm was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 24 points and 11 rebounds. He has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last eight times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Isaiah Lee, who scored 19 points.
Rockville suffered their biggest defeat since December 19, 2023 on Tuesday. They suffered a rough 66-45 defeat at the hands of Springbrook.
Paint Branch pushed their record up to 11-2 with that victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. As for Rockville, their loss dropped their record down to 1-10.
Everything went Paint Branch's way against Rockville when the teams last played back in February of 2020 as Paint Branch made off with a 65-42 win. Will Paint Branch repeat their success, or does Rockville have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
