San Isidro has been on the road for five straight, but on Friday they'll finally head home. They will be home for the holidays to greet the Hebbronville Longhorns at 6:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Monday, things could have been worse for San Isidro, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 69-54 loss to Raymondville. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for San Isidro in their matchups with Raymondville: they've now lost five in a row.
Meanwhile, Hebbronville lost to Odem at home by a decisive 45-30 margin on Tuesday.
Oscar Carrillo put forth a good effort for the losing side as he scored 12 points along with four steals. The match was his third in a row with at least ten points.
Hebbronville struggled to work together and finished the game with only two assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
San Isidro's loss was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 6-11. As for Hebbronville, they now have a losing record at 6-7.
San Isidro was able to grind out a solid win over Hebbronville when the teams last played back in February, winning 65-56. Will San Isidro repeat their success, or does Hebbronville have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
