The Viewmont Vikings's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their eighth straight loss. Their tough 72-49 defeat to Bountiful might stick with them for a while. Viewmont has not had much luck with Bountiful recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Despite the loss, Viewmont had strong showings from Cache Tuia, who scored 18 points, and Drez Jensen, who scored ten points along with five rebounds. Kade Cannon was another key contributor, scoring six points.
Even though they lost, Viewmont were working as a unit and finished the game with 11 assists. This was only their seventh loss (out of eight games) when they've passed the ball that well.
Viewmont's loss dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Bountiful, their win bumped their record up to 6-4.
Viewmont will head out on the road to face off against Box Elder at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Box Elder is on a three-game streak of home losses, Viewmont a six-game streak of away losses (dating back to last season), but someone's luck is about to change. Bountiful will take on Judge Memorial Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Judge Memorial Catholic focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Friday.
