Two dominant players in Faith Yelton and Arianna Ritz are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Master's Academy Lions's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Reynolds Mountain Christian Academy Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on January 25th. Hopefully The Master's Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 29 on Tuesday.
The Master's Academy can now show off six landslide victories after their most recent game. They blew past Lake Lure Classical Academy 56-17 on the road. The high flying offensive effort was a huge turnaround for The Master's Academy considering their 21-point performance the matchup before.
It was another big night for Yelton, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and ten rebounds. She has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last five times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Sydney Bell, who scored seven points along with 11 rebounds and five steals.
Meanwhile, Reynolds Mountain Christian Academy strolled past Challenger with points to spare on Monday, taking the game 49-35. Reynolds Mountain Christian Academy pushed the score to 45-21 by the end of the third, a deficit Challenger cut but never quite recovered from.
The Master's Academy's victory bumped their record up to 9-3. As for Reynolds Mountain Christian Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season.
The Master's Academy strolled past Reynolds Mountain Christian Academy when the teams last played back in November of 2023 by a score of 47-33.
