Cedarburg had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They walked away with a 73-60 victory over the Nicolet Knights on Saturday. Winning may never get old, but the Bulldogs sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.
Nicolet's loss came despite strong showings from David Bolden and Ja'Meir Hayfort. Bolden almost dropped a double-double with 25 points and nine boards, while Hayfort went 5-for-7 on his way to 10 points and eight rebounds. Bolden continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Edward Bullock iii, who posted eight points and six boards.
Cedarburg's win bumped their record up to 17-8. As for Nicolet, the defeat snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 19-7 record.
Cedarburg wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 75-66 victory against Slinger on the 13th. Nicolet does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
