It was a good run, but Ponca unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Saturday. They had to suffer through a 66-26 loss at the hands of the Battle Creek Braves. The match marked the Indians' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Battle Creek's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jaidan Wehrle, who went 7 of 11 en route to 18 points. Those 18 points gave Wehrle a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Sophie Humphrey, who posted 12 points along with six rebounds and five steals.

Ponca's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Battle Creek, they pushed their record up to 8-2 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Crofton the next time they take the court. Ponca will head out to face Crofton on Tuesday, while Battle Creek will host them on Thursday.
