After a string of four wins, the Unity Christian Lions's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They had to suffer through a rough 64-28 loss at the hands of Model. Unity Christian has not had much luck with Model recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Unity Christian's loss came despite strong showings from Anna Grace Wells and Andrea Creel. Wells scored eight points along with eight rebounds and three steals, while Creel scored two points along with two steals. Wells has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last six times she's played.
Unity Christian's loss dropped their record down to 10-7. As for Model, they pushed their record up to 19-4 with that win, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season.
Unity Christian will be playing at home against Excel Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Model, they will head out on the road to take on Gordon Central at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
