The Corry Beavers will square off against the North East Grape Pickers at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Corry will be strutting in after a win while North East will be coming in after a loss.
Corry's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over Eisenhower. The result was nothing new for the Beavers, who have now won six contests by six runs or more so far this season.
Kamdyn Moon and Tucker Jackson made a splash while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Moon struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). Meanwhile, Jackson pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Moon has become a key player for Corry: the team is 2-1 when he allows at most three hits, but 6-7 otherwise. At the plate, Moon went a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases, three runs, and one triple, while Jackson went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base. Those three stolen bases gave Moon a new career-high.
