The Flat Rock Rams will head out on the road to  take on  the Grosse Ile Red Devils  at 4:30  p.m.  on Wednesday. Flat Rock is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.6  runs per game  this season.
Flat Rock lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Riverview, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Monday's   matchup. The Rams put the hurt on the Pirates with a sharp  9-1 win on Monday. The result was nothing new for the Rams, who have now won three contests by eight  runs or more  so far this season.
Flat Rock got a great performance from  Mikey Giroux as he  struck out 13 batters over  5.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off   one  hit. Giroux has been consistent  recently: he hasn't  given up  more than one  earned run in three consecutive appearances.
 On the hitting side,  Brendan Smouthers was  excellent,  scoring a  run while going 2-for-2.  Jordan Godfrey was another key player,  scoring a  run while going 2-for-3.
 Flat Rock was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .393. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Riverview only posted a  batting average of  .043.
Meanwhile, Grosse Ile came up short against Milan on Monday and fell  6-3. That's two games in a row now that the Red Devils have lost by  exactly three  runs.
Grosse Ile also got a good showing from  Matteo Gatti, who   struck out eight batters over  four innings while giving up just two earned  (and three unearned) runs off   four  hits.
 At the plate,  Sam Weise was cooking despite his team's loss,   scoring two  runs while going 2-for-4.
 Flat Rock's record now sits at 5-2. As for Grosse Ile, they dropped their record down to 1-3 with the  defeat, which was their sixth straight  at home dating back to last season.
 Flat Rock skirted past Grosse Ile  1-0 in their previous meeting  back in May of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Rams since the  team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
