The Verde Valley Coyotes scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Leupp Boarding 59-15 at home. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Verde Valley has managed all season.
Verde Valley's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but CJ Wiehl led the charge by dropping a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds. Zee Dickey was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with seven assists and two steals.
The victory (which was Verde Valley's third in a row) raised their record to 5-2. As for Leupp Boarding, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-6.
Verde Valley will head out on the road to square off against Sonoran Science Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Leupp Boarding, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Orme at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
