Oakwood won the last time they faced Paxton-Buckley-Loda and things went their way on Saturday too. The Comets blew past the Panthers 10-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Comets.
Caydence Vermillion was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 13 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits (and not a single walk). That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in May of 2024. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-4.
