It was a good run, but the Brandeis Broncos unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They fell to Lee 71-67. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their last game last Tuesday (58), Brandeis still had to take the loss.
Despite the loss, Brandeis still got an impressive performance from Rian Forestier, who dropped a double-double on 44 points and 20 rebounds. Forestier has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last 28 times she's played. Abigail Burdette was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Brandeis' loss dropped their record down to 22-9. As for Lee, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 18-10 record this season.
Brandeis will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Madison at 6:00 p.m. Hopefully Madison focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Friday. As for Lee, they will head out on the road to face off against Clark at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Clark presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Lee in Texas (Clark is ranked fourth, while Lee is ranked 204th).
