Basketball Game Preview: East Hill Christian Eagles vs. Aletheia Christian Academy Lions

The East Hill Christian Eagles will face off against the Aletheia Christian Academy Lions at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Aletheia Christian Academy took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on East Hill Christian, who comes in off a win.

East Hill Christian is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They walked away with a 66-57 victory over South Baldwin Christian Academy on Thursday.

East Hill Christian found their leader in sophomore Hudson Hooten, who dropped a double-double on 28 points and ten boards. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Hooten has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Austin Lockard, who went 7 of 8 on his way to 15 points and seven rebounds.

East Hill Christian was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their assist total in three consecutive matches.

Meanwhile, Aletheia Christian Academy unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Saturday. They were dealt a 70-40 defeat at the hands of Jones Christian Academy. The Lions were down 53-27 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Aletheia Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 15-6. As for East Hill Christian, their win bumped their record up to 6-8.

Things could have been worse for East Hill Christian, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 62-47 loss to Aletheia Christian Academy in their previous meeting on Monday. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Aletheia Christian Academy's Kendrick Williamson, who went 6 for 11 from beyond the arc en route to 26 points in addition to five boards and three steals.
