The Galt Warriors''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their eighth straight loss. They took a serious blow against Liberty Ranch, falling 42-13. Galt lost against Liberty Ranch in their previous head to head back in October of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 56-12 score last time.
Galt's loss came despite strong showings from Kayson Jones and Roman Tapia. Jones picked up 95 receiving yards and a touchdown, while Tapia rushed for 31 yards and a touchdown. Jones' longest reception was for an incredible 80 yards.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Liberty Ranch to victory, but perhaps none more so than Joseph Brown, who rushed for 122 yards and two touchdowns on only 15 carries. The team also got some help courtesy of Brannon Cathey, who rushed for 90 yards and two touchdowns on only six carries.
Galt's loss was their eighth straight at home (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 2-8. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 14.9 points per game. As for Liberty Ranch, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
Galt does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Liberty Ranch will look to defend their home field on Friday against Bear River at 7:00 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in California (Bear River is ranked 445th, while Liberty Ranch is ranked 430th).
