Bremen is 7-1 against Knox since May of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Lions are taking a road trip to square off against the Redskins at 4:00 p.m. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.
Bremen took a nine-run loss the last time they faced off against Jimtown, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Lions sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-5 victory over the Jimmies on Thursday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Lions.
Chrissy Grabowski made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed seven innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off nine hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one run.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Peyton Reed, who went 1-for-2 with three RBI and one triple. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in May of 2024. Isabella Calentine was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one run and one RBI.
Knox let Glenn stack four runs on them in the fifth inning on Thursday but luckily Knox prevailed anyway. The Redskins won by a run and slipped past the Falcons 7-6. The win was familiar territory for the Redskins, who have now won three matches in a row.
Karleigh Friedrich was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, two stolen bases, and four RBI. Another player making a difference was Addison Sponaugle, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one double.
Knox was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .406. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive games.
Knox's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-12. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Bremen, their record is now 8-13.
Bremen skirted past Knox 6-5 in their previous matchup back in May of 2023. Will the Lions repeat their success, or do the Redskins have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
