 Jacey Reed put in work no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound,   pitching seven innings while giving up just one earned  (and two unearned) runs off   seven  hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in four consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box,  going 2-for-3 with one  home run.
 Reed wasn't  the only one making solid contact as  four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was  Taylor Keown, who  scored a  run while going 1-for-3.
Gulf Breeze's record now sits at 10-10. As for Jay,  the  victory made it two in a row for them and  bumps their season record up to 16-1.
 Looking ahead, Gulf Breeze will square off against Destin at 6:00  p.m.  on Monday. The Dolphins' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Sharks have averaged an impressive 9.3  runs per game this season. As for Jay, they will host Northview  at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (the Royals have won six straight at home, while the Chiefs won six straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
