Given Minneota's advantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 76th, while Heron Lake-Okabena/Fulda is ranked 345th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Despite the loss, Heron Lake-Okabena/Fulda had strong showings from Logan Gass, who scored 15 points, and Sam Goedtke, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds. Those 15 points set a new season-high mark for him.
Heron Lake-Okabena/Fulda struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only three offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Minneota pushed their record up to 4-0 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road. As for Heron Lake-Okabena/Fulda, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-5.
