Everything went their way against the South Lenoir Blue Devils on Wednesday as they made off with a 7-1 victory. Considering the Gators have won 19 contests by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
Erica Sturgill made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching five innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with one home run and two runs.
