The Edgewood Mustangs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. They took a 55-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of Bedford North Lawrence. While losing is never fun, Edgewood can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 244th, while Bedford North Lawrence is ranked 51st).
Despite the loss, Edgewood still got an impressive performance from Jacob Boggs, who scored 14 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Boggs has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Caden Jones, who scored six points along with five rebounds.
Edgewood's loss dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Bedford North Lawrence, their win bumped their record up to 10-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Edgewood will square off against West Vigo at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Bedford North Lawrence, they will head out on the road to square off against Jeffersonville at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Jeffersonville will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive.
