Among those leading the charge was Caden Watkins, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Chris Herndon was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with five steals.
Sabino's victory ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-11. As for Rincon/University, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-10.
Sabino will finish 2023 at home by hosting Desert Vista at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Desert Vista presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Sabino in Arizona (Desert Vista is ranked 41st, while Sabino is ranked 259th). Rincon/University won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Pueblo at 4:40 p.m. on December 29, 2023. Pueblo is hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses.
