The Taylor Titans won the last time they faced the Riverside Argonauts, and things went their way on Friday too. Everything went Taylor's way against Riverside as Taylor made off with a 71-48 victory. The win made it back-to-back wins for Taylor.
Taylor's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Javionne Harris, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 13 rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Harris has scored at least 25% of Taylor's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Christian Hall, who scored 15 points along with three steals.
Taylor has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. As for Riverside, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Taylor will take on Rossville at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Rossville is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. Riverside will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Indiana Math & Science Academy North at 7:30 p.m. on January 16, 2024.
