Spanish Springs strolled past the Tigers with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 56-38. This was payback for Spanish Springs, who suffered a 62-53 loss the last time these two teams met.
Spanish Springs' victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Josiah McBride, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds. It was the first time this season that McBride scored 15 or more points. Cameron Washington was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with five steals.
Despite the loss, Douglas still got an impressive performance from Trace Estes, who scored 17 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. Another player making a difference was Jett Lehmann, who scored 12 points.
Spanish Springs pushed their record up to 12-11 with that victory, which was their eighth straight at home.
