Lake Nona was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from fifth to second in 5A District 7. Earlier in the week, Lake Nona triumphed over Celebration 49-14.
Atlantic moved up to 250 from 315 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Sharks climbed the ranks as a result of topping Menendez 20-6.
TUCKER ISRAEL has thrown for 1970 yards and 20 touchdowns this season, while RYAN SOUSA has 53 catches for 836 yards. MICHAEL SANTIAGO leads the league in rushing with 459 yards.
Going into this week's game against Poinciana, Anthony Paradiso's team's ISRAEL needs 30 passing yards to surpass 2,000 on the season.
A big matchup in 5A District 7 this week will be when Eustis takes on Bishop Moore. As it stands, the Panthers are in fourth, while the Hornets are in third.
Atlantic made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 4,336 from 5,955. The advance stemmed from a 20-6 victory over the Falcons last week.
