St. Marys posted their biggest victory since December 8, 2023 on Monday. They claimed a resounding 81-54 victory over Wabaunsee at home. Given St. Marys' advantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 34th, while Wabaunsee is ranked 204th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
In what's become a running theme this season, Rossville gave their fans yet another huge win on Saturday. Everything went their way against Perry-Lecompton as Rossville made off with a 57-37 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Rossville has posted against Perry-Lecompton since December 20, 2016.
Jack Donovan continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 28 points along with four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Kameron Badura, who scored 16 points along with three steals.
St. Marys pushed their record up to 10-1 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 25 points. As for Rossville, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.
St. Marys beat Rossville 64-56 in their previous matchup back in January of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for St. Marys since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
