The Brooklyn Tech Engineers pushed their score all the way to 70 on Wednesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a hard 84-70 fall against Transit Tech. Despite running the score up even higher than they did last Friday (61), Brooklyn Tech still had to take the loss.
Despite the loss, Brooklyn Tech still got an impressive performance from Chadwyck Beckford, who scored 30 points along with nine rebounds. Those 30 points set a new season-high mark for him. Troy Hornbeck was another key contributor, scoring 18 points.
Brooklyn Tech has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-5 record this season. As for Transit Tech, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-1.
Brooklyn Tech will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Bushwick at 5:00 p.m. Bushwick is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak. As for Transit Tech, they will head out on the road to face off against Gaynor at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Gaynor will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps New York Rankings (they are ranked 580th, while Transit Tech is ranked 200th).
