It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Giles County Bobcats had no problem doing just that on Friday. They took their contest at home with ease, bagging a 70-29 win over McMinn Central. The victory was nothing new for Giles County as they're now sitting on nine straight.
Kamauri A turner continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, picking up 181 receiving yards and two touchdowns, while also rushing for 106 yards and three touchdowns on only 11 carries. Another player making a difference was Johnny Jackson, who threw for 262 yards and three touchdowns while completing 76.2% of his passes.
Giles County has yet to lose a game at home this season, leaving them with a 9-2 record. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.5 points per game. As for McMinn Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-4.
Giles County will head out on the road to face off against Meigs County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meigs County will be coming into the match with an undefeated record on the line. McMinn Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
