Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Rochester STEM Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Saeed Mohamed, who scored 14 points along with seven steals and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Zakaria Araye, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 rebounds.
Rochester STEM Academy's victory ended a ten-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-13. As for Chesterton Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-9.
Rochester STEM Academy won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Bethlehem Academy at 7:15 p.m. on January 19th. Bethlehem Academy is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses. As for Chesterton Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Lakes International Language Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Lakes International Language Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past six matches -- so hopefully Chesterton Academy likes a good challenge.
