The Inglemoor Vikings's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their fifth straight loss. They took a 65-60 hit to the loss column at the hands of Kamiak. Despite running the score up even higher than they did on Saturday (58), Inglemoor still had to take the loss.
Inglemoor's loss came despite strong showings from Kieran Clasen and Reuhen Bhalod. Clasen scored 15 points along with six rebounds and five blocks, while Bhalod dropped a double-double on 19 points and 11 rebounds. Bhalod scored a full 31.7% of Inglemoor's points, the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Mateo Love, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds.
Inglemoor struggled to work together and finished the game with only four assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Inglemoor's defeat was their fourth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 2-6. As for Kamiak, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Inglemoor will take on Cedar Park Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Washington (Cedar Park Christian is ranked 315th, while Inglemoor is ranked 300th). As for Kamiak, they will head out on the road to face off against Cascade at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Cascade is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak.
