Basketball Game Preview: Casa Roble Rams vs. Rio Linda Knights

Casa Roble has gone 4-0 against Rio Linda recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Casa Roble Rams will host the Rio Linda Knights at 7:30 p.m. Casa Roble is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 69.5 points per game this season.

Last Monday, Casa Roble was able to grind out a solid win over Twelve Bridges, taking the game 73-60. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Rams.

Mason Pearcy and Benny Ambriz were among the main playmakers for Casa Roble as the former went 10 for 14 on his way to 26 points and four steals and the latter went 11 of 21 on his way to 29 points and five boards. Ambriz's evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Preston Scott, who posted five points.

Meanwhile, Rio Linda was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were outmatched by Natomas and fell 90-44. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1219th, while the Nighthawks are ranked 241st).

Casa Roble's victory bumped their record up to 14-3. As for Rio Linda, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-13.

Casa Roble didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Rio Linda in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, but they still walked away with a 70-65 win. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Rio Linda's Noah Wolford, who went 6 of 8 on his way to 14 points.
