The Giddings Lonestar Southeast Mustangs are on the road again on Saturday and play against the Prince of Peace Eagles at 2:00 p.m. on November 11th. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Giddings Lonestar Southeast pushed their score all the way to 49 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 53-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of Saint Mary's Hall. Despite running the score up even higher than they did two weeks ago (36), Giddings Lonestar Southeast still had to take the loss.
Meanwhile, Prince of Peace fell victim to Hill Country Christian School of Austin's stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They took a serious blow against the Knights, falling 60-0. While losing is never fun, Prince of Peace can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 197th, while Hill Country Christian School of Austin is ranked 40th).
Giddings Lonestar Southeast has yet to win a matchup on the road this season, leaving them with a 6-3 record. The slump could be explained by some tough opposition over that stretch, namely Saint Mary's Hall, Emery/Weiner, and Texas School for the Deaf. As for Prince of Peace, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.
