Rapides can bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Port Allen Pelicans with a sharp 16-1 win. Considering the Mustangs have won seven matchups by more than nine runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Rapides' victory bumped their record up to 7-11. As for Port Allen, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-13 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rapides will venture away from home to face off against Georgetown at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Port Allen, they will square off against East Iberville at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Tigers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 15.47 runs per game on average), something the Pelicans will no doubt try to take advantage of.
