The South Central Trojans's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their seventh straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 72-20 loss at the hands of Margaretta. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points South Central has scored all season.
Carter Caudill and Gunner Ray certainly did their best on Saturday to try and avoid the loss. Caudill scored six points, while Ray scored six points along with five rebounds.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, South Central struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only four offensive rebounds. They are winless (0-3) when they can't control their own glass like that.
South Central's defeat was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Margaretta, their victory bumped their record up to 13-2.
South Central will be playing at home against Seneca East at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Margaretta, they will head out on the road to square off against Vermilion at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
