Lewiston had trouble last Friday, and unfortunately for them, their opponent this week is a big step up in difficulty. They will challenge Thornton Academy on the road at 7:00 PM on Friday. Lewiston are the clear underdogs, so they're hoping it's the size of the fight that determines this one.
Lewiston found themselves the reluctant recipients of an unpleasant 0-34 punch to the gut against Oxford Hills/Buckfield.
Meanwhile, Thornton Academy took the game and then some with a 70-0 win. With Thornton Academy ahead 49-0, the matchup was all but decided by halftime.
Thornton Academy's victory lifted them to 2-0 while Lewiston's loss dropped them down to 0-2. We'll see if Thornton Academy's success rolls on or if Lewiston are able to steal their positive momentum.
