Make it eight blowout wins for the Elgin/Pope John Wolfpack this season. They blew past Stuart 70-35 on the road. With Elgin/Pope John ahead 45-12 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
Elgin/Pope John got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Callie Heithoff out in front who scored 13 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Heithoff has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Ashlynne Charf, who scored 13 points.
The victory makes it two in a row for Elgin/Pope John and bumps their season record up to 12-1. As for Stuart, they bumped their record down to 6-8 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Elgin/Pope John will take on West Holt at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Stuart, they will head out on the road to square off against Valentine at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Valentine focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 28 last Tuesday.
