John Carroll Catholic has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will square off against the South Fork Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully John Carroll Catholic focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten on Tuesday.
Last Tuesday, John Carroll Catholic didn't have too much trouble with Cocoa Beach at home as they won 59-41.
It was another big night for Caden Johnson, who scored 19 points along with five rebounds and two steals. He continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Pat Silas, who scored 13 points along with eight rebounds.
Meanwhile, South Fork had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13.2 points), and they went ahead and made it six on Wednesday. They walked away with a 49-41 victory over Port St. Lucie.
John Carroll Catholic's victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-12. As for South Fork, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season.
John Carroll Catholic came up short against South Fork when the teams last played back in January of 2023, falling 50-45. Can John Carroll Catholic avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
