The result was nothing new for Pope John Paul II, who have now won three games by ten runs or more so far this season.

The team relied heavily on Grace Fitzgerald, who fired off two home runs, six RBI, and three runs while going 3-for-4. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Rylee Derecola, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple.

Meanwhile, Upper Perkiomen was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They came up short against Perkiomen Valley, falling 16-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Indians have suffered against the Vikings since May 5, 2016.

Pope John Paul II pushed their record up to 6-4 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.3 runs over those games. As for Upper Perkiomen, their loss dropped their record down to 3-7.
