Richmond Christian has been on the road for two straight, but on Saturday they'll finally head home. They will take on The Kenston Forest Kavaliers at 16:00 p.m. on Saturday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many points in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.
Last Friday, Richmond Christian faced Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Richmond Christian took a serious blow against Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot, falling 68-8.
Meanwhile, Kenston Forest fell victim to Brunswick Academy's stalwart defense on Thursday and couldn't make it onto the board. They were dealt a 60-0 defeat at the hands of the Vikings. Kenston Forest has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
The losses dropped Richmond Christian to 3-5 and Kenston Forest to 5-2.
Richmond Christian was taken down by Kenston Forest 66-22 in their previous matchup back in September of 2021. Thankfully for Richmond Christian, Tyler Turman (who threw for 307 yards and six touchdowns while completing 83.9% of his passes, and also rushed for 86 yards on only eight carries) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
