It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Long Rebels can now relate to. Their rough 61-40 defeat to Goshen on Friday might stick with them for a while. This was one game where the offenses had no trouble playing at a high level.
Preston Williams threw for 44 yards and a touchdown while completing 100% of his passes. Brayden Whitehead was his top target, picking up 44 receiving yards and a touchdown.
This is the second loss in a row for Long and nudges their season record down to 7-3. As for Goshen, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 8-2.
Long does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Goshen will face off against Clarke County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
