Summit View has enjoyed a four-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They just played last night, but they'll still head out to face the Pilgrim Panthers at 5:00 p.m. on January 24th. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.
Summit View suffered their closest defeat yet this season on Tuesday. They fell just short of San Fernando Valley Academy by a score of 44-42.
Meanwhile, Pilgrim's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. They were outmatched by Mesrobian on the road and fell 73-20. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Pilgrim has scored all season.
Summit View now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Pilgrim, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-8.
Summit View didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Pilgrim in their previous meeting on January 9th, but they still walked away with a 42-37 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Summit View since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
