Odin/Patoka's's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight loss. They took a hard 53-39 fall against Wayne City.
Leading Wayne City to victory were Tanner McNeil and James Walker. McNeil scored 16 points along with nine rebounds, while Walker scored 21 points along with three steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which McNeil has scored at least 25% of Wayne City's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Koby Anderson, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds.
Odin/Patoka bumped their record down to 2-7 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.0 points per game. As for Wayne City, their victory bumped their record up to 4-10.
Odin/Patoka will be playing in front of their home fans against Dieterich at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Dieterich presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Odin/Patoka in Illinois (Dieterich is ranked 228th, while Odin/Patoka is ranked 656th). Wayne City won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Waltonville at 6:15 p.m. on January 6th. Waltonville has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 877 points over their last 13 contests.
