The Fort Campbell Falcons lost against the Montgomery Central Indians back in February of 2020, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The matchup between Fort Campbell and Montgomery Central wasn't particularly close, with Fort Campbell falling 45-30. Fort Campbell has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Several Falcons players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Rosella Rajj, who scored 20 points along with four steals. That was a full 66.7% of Fort Campbell's points, marking the ninth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Saniyah Bell was another key contributor, scoring five points.
Fort Campbell dropped their record down to 4-14 with that defeat, which was their 25th straight on the road dating back to last season. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 22.5 points per game. As for Montgomery Central, their win bumped their record up to 3-15.
Fort Campbell will head out on the road to square off against Community Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Kentucky (Community Christian is ranked 246th, while Fort Campbell is ranked 261st). Montgomery Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
