Dallas International will head out on the road to square off against the Alcuin Hawks at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Dallas International couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They were dealt a 80-22 defeat at the hands of Wylie Prep Academy on Tuesday. Dallas International was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 39-7.
Alcuin suffered their biggest loss since November 9, 2023 on Friday. Their rough 62-40 defeat to Highlands might stick with them for a while.
Despite their loss, Alcuin saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Nicolas Gholi, who scored 11 points, was perhaps the best of all. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Gholi has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Ruston Kandyil, who scored nine points.
Dallas International's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Alcuin, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season.
