The Salem Hills Skyhawks were the 65-64 winner over the Lehi Pioneers when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Salem Hills received a tough blow on Tuesday as they fell 86-68 to Lehi. Despite running the score up even higher than they did last Tuesday (65), Salem Hills still had to take the loss.
When it comes to explaining why Salem Hills lost, one person who can't be blamed is Chase Degraffenried. Despite the final result, he scored 25 points along with 6 rebounds. Degraffenried scored a full 36.8% of Salem Hills' points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Aaron Hable was another key contributor, scoring 10 points.
This is the second loss in a row for Salem Hills and nudges their season record down to 0-2. As for Lehi, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Salem Hills will square off against Payson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Lehi, they will head out on the road to face off against Corner Canyon at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
