The biggest upset of the week belonged to Vallejo, who took down 295th ranked Benicia, 28-19. Anthony Budil ran for 193 yards in the win.
Jadon Brisendine and Malik Beachum provided fans with a highlight when they connected against American Canyon. The connection was good for 64 yards, the longest such play in Solano County this season.
Brisendine put up the best numbers through the air as Vanden lost to American Canyon. He finished with a total of 15 completions for 209 yards and three touchdowns. Brisendine's favorite target this week was Brandon Davis, who caught four passes for 107 yards.
Ryan Bohnet provided a threat through the air and on the ground as the Panthers fell to the Apaches. He completed 15 passes for 183 yards and two touchdowns and also ran for 34 yards. Bohnet's favorite target this week was James Hyde-Jr., who caught 10 passes for 140 yards.
Benicia's Bohnet and Hyde-Jr. have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Bohnet has thrown for 1670 yards this season, while Hyde-Jr., a 5-foot-9 receiver, has 35 catches for 607 yards. Ian MacMillan's team's Jomon Dotson leads the league in rushing yards with 1189.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Craig Holden's team takes on Bethel. The Panthers are currently in third, while the Jaguars are in second.
Bethel extended the longest winning streak in Solano County this week by beating Fairfield, 42-0. The victory was the fourth in a row for the team.
