Video: Charles Tsintolas Walk-Off Inside The Park Home RunThe Heights junior wins game in dramatic fashion. It's hard to hit a home run to left field when the fence is 420 feet away. Luckily for
The Heights (Potomac, Md.), junior
Charles Tsintolas went to Plan B.
The 6-foot-1 catcher stepped to the plate trailing
Landon (Bethesda, Md.) 6-4 in the final inning of their last regular season game. He took a low-outside pitch and rocketed it to left field, just out of the reach of the diving outfielder.
As the ball continued to roll all the way to the 420-foot fence, Tsintolas raced around the bases as fast as he could — demonstrating pretty good speed for a catcher.
As he crossed the plate with the game-winning run, Tsintolas — who had just hit a walk-off inside-the-park home run in his team's final regular season game — was greeted by his celebrating teammates.
