The Lehi Pioneers will take on the Davis Darts at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Lehi is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. Everything went their way against Pleasant Grove as they made off with an 8-2 win. The game was the first time the Pioneers have beaten the Vikings on their field since April 24, 2024.

Tj Peterson tossed a big game, striking out seven batters over six innings while giving up just two earned runs off six hits (and only one walk). That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Ozzie Williams, who went 2-for-5 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Brandon Manookin, who got on base in all five of his plate appearances with two RBI.
Meanwhile, Davis waltzed into their matchup on Monday with nine straight wins... but they left with ten. They blew past the Mustangs 8-2.
Lincoln Green looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched.
At the plate, Carter Garrett was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. That triple marked the first that he has hit this season. Tyson Baggett was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.
Davis was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .393. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .318 or higher in eight consecutive contests.
Lehi is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a massive bump to their 16-13 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Davis, their win bumped their record up to 22-6.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Tuesday. Lehi hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.7 home runs per game. However, it's not like Davis struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 0.7 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Lehi beat Davis 7-3 when the teams last played back in May of 2016. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Pioneers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
