After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Wilcox Academy, the Sparta Academy Warriors were happy to have found some success on Saturday. They walked away with a 55-48 win over South Choctaw Academy. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Sparta Academy also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2022.
It was another big night for Logan Robinson, who scored 29 points along with 9 rebounds and 3 steals. The game was his fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Colton Phillips, who scored 11 points.
Sparta Academy is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 3-3 record this season. As for South Choctaw Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sparta Academy will take on Fort Dale Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. South Choctaw Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Escambia Academy at 4:00 p.m. on January 12, 2024.
