Bovina is 0-10 against Farwell since February of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Bovina Mustangs will stay at home for another game and welcome the Farwell Steers at 6:00 p.m. on February 13th. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both teams will really light up the scoreboard.
A well-balanced attack led Bovina over Highland Park in every quarter on their way to victory on Friday. Everything went Bovina's way against Highland Park as Bovina made off with a 67-41 victory. Bovina pushed the score to 55-31 by the end of the third, a deficit Highland Park had little chance of recovering from.
It was another big night for Miguel Lopez, who scored 24 points. Another player making a difference was Daniel Herrera, who scored 13 points.
Meanwhile, Farwell entered their tilt with Panhandle with ten consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with 11. Farwell came out on top against Panhandle by a score of 63-54 on Friday. The score was all tied up 25-25 at the break, but Farwell was the better team in the second half.
Bovina's win bumped their record up to 12-18. As for Farwell, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 matches, which provided a massive bump to their 22-9 record this season.
Bovina was dealt a bruising 61-28 defeat at the hands of Farwell when the teams last played back in January. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Bovina was down 40-18.
