There's no place like home for the St. Helens Lions, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road on Saturday. They walked away with a 70-63 win over Elmira on Tuesday. The win was just what St. Helens needed coming off of a 56-35 loss in their prior matchup.
St. Helens' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Andrew Waite, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 14 rebounds. That's the first time this season that Waite pulled down eight or more rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Aaron Liebelt, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds and six assists.
St. Helens pushed their record up to 5-3 with that win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.0 points per game. As for Elmira, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.
